NYDT
  - Science Studio: Art in the Lab

Creativity is a crucial part of Mind Development.

We therefore encourage school students to participate in art competitions.

The Science of Art and The Art of Science are two different concepts, but are interrelated as far as classroom education is concerned.

The Art Programme of the New Frontiers Science initiative of the NYDT is titled: Art in the Lab

Students of all ages may participate in the Competition. There are various Art in the Lab categories:

  • Painting, using paper, brush and paint
  • Sculpture

  • Photography:
    • Digital cameras
    • Mobile phone cameras
    • Microscopy
  • Computer designed art
  • Card Making

We assess the way students, as emerging artists, portray Science through their work.

Students who wish to participate directly in the international competitions are free to do so.

Students who participate in the Science Based Competition Programme, may use art to portray aspects of their science competitions.

However, students who wish to receive certificates of achievement from the New Frontiers Science Programme, should participate through the New Frontiers Science Based Competition Programme.
