Educational robotics, in general, is an all-year online and real time engineering program for students and enthusiasts across the Globe.
Educational Robotics consists of two disciplines:
- The Sporting Code [RSI]
- The Science Based Competition [SBC] Code: International competition for Problem Based Research and Design projects on pre-graduate level
Robotics Sports International [RSI] has been established to promote robotics internationally as a sporting code, and to regulate the activities of all role-players and stakeholders, by setting standards and a code of ethical behavior.
Sporting Code: The NYDT is the manager of the Junior RSI Programme.
The SBC Code: Criteria in respect of Standards and Ethical Work Practices for the robotics programme is set by an International Standards and Ethics Commission
All junior robotics enthusiasts are actively encouraged to participate in all international robotics competitions
The RSI World Junior Series for Robotics will start in 2010 and will be presented in Constantine, Algeria on annual basis.
Prof Abdelouahab Zaatri of the Laboratory for Advanced Technology Application [LATA] in Algeria is the honorary President of RSI
