Science based problem solving is the foundation of the NYDT programme. Students undertake problem solving projects as part of their edutraining schedule.
Future Problem Solving:
The NYDT participates in the International Future Problem Solving (IFPS) Programme
The Future Problem Solving Programme engages students in creative problem solving. Founded by creativity pioneer, Dr. E. Paul Torrance, IFPS stimulates critical and creative thinking skills and encourages students to develop a vision for the future.
IFPS features curricular and co-curricular competitive, as well as non-competitive, activities in creative problem solving.
The Future Problem Solving Program International involves over 250,000 students annually from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and South Africa.
Future Problem Solving South Africa is an affiliate programme of IFPS and is mentored by FPS Australia.
The NYDT is the Programme Manager of Future Problem Solving South Africa.
